Graphic Design Roadtrip
The good, the bad and the very dusty.
“Hey look at that capital R! That’s incredible! Stop the car!” Meta and I scour the country for examples of graphic design that aren’t famous, or fancy, or even particularly well done (those are my favorite). Bad type, good type, toys, magazines, books, phone books (also my favorite), billheads, ephemera, magazines, signs, packages and paint by numbers. We’ve got thousands of photos, nothing fancy, just documents of what we see. It started 30 years ago, and we call it Graphic Design Roadtrip. Special project in the works, hang tight.
